London Trip

London in October offered me the perfect blend of culture, relaxation, and vibrant dining experiences. I arrived on the 1st and spent 10 unforgettable days exploring the city and indulging in the best it had to offer.

I started each morning with yoga or a cardio session at Green Park. There’s something magical about working out surrounded by London’s green spaces, the crisp air waking me up for the adventures ahead. Conveniently, Joe & the Juice was just around the corner from my hotel, so I’d grab a refreshing smoothie before heading back to get ready for the day.

Tea time became a daily ritual, with scones and jelly (always a 10/10) paired with a different tea each day. The tradition and elegance of it added a delightful rhythm to my afternoons.

I dedicated the first few days to sightseeing, visiting the iconic Buckingham Palace, wandering the halls of the British Museum, and, of course, indulging in a little retail therapy on Oxford Street. Even with a bit of rain (it is London after all), the city’s charm never wavered.

Dining in London was a revelation. My first night, I dined at Novikov, and to my surprise, discovered their Italian side, which was so delicious I went back the following night. The lively atmosphere and amazing dishes made it hard to resist. Sunday brought me to Purina, a Japanese-Peruvian fusion spot that felt like the place to be before a night out. Their vegan options were exquisite.

On my last evening, my friend Marni and I dined at Hakkasan. The food was phenomenal, and the service? Top-notch. The flavors and the ambiance were so memorable that I’m already planning to return on my next visit to London.

For nights when I stayed in, my hotel’s restaurant, Dovetail, led by Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers, had a well-curated menu with about four vegan options. Each dish was thoughtful and enjoyable, making it a pleasant option when I didn’t feel like venturing out.

I stayed at the 1 Hotel, located in the heart of Mayfair. This hotel isn’t just luxurious; it’s also eco-conscious. My room was a peaceful haven with greenery and wood elements, grounding me after busy days. I especially appreciated the filtered water faucet, allowing me to avoid plastic bottles. The wellness spa and personalized workouts added a holistic touch to the stay, and the bar, with its live DJ, created the perfect evening vibe.

The staff at 1 Hotel went above and beyond. From the doormen who always greeted me with smiles to the attentive hotel workers, their warmth made my stay even more special. Fresh fruit in the lobby and the eco-friendly ethos of the hotel left a lasting impression.

London is always full of surprises, and this trip was no different. From its rich history to its modern luxury, I experienced the best of both worlds.
